Computerised Music Comes of Age

Mr Peter Nelson
Faculty of Music, Edinburgh University

The third meeting of the session will be held within Merchiston Campus of Napier University on Monday 11th December 1995 at 7pm.

Electronic organs and keyboards are a feature of modern sound generation and music making. The personal computer has now been programmed to produce enhanced electronic sounds and music with the advantage of flexibility over the established electronic methods.

The lecture will discuss the computer technique employed and demonstrate effects. Audience participation will be encouraged during the playing of seasonal music with tape accompaniment.
