5th Meeting of the 178th Session (1998-1999)

The Post Office: a hybrid enterprise for the next millennium

Dr Duncan Hine
Director of Technology & Information Systems
The Post Office Headquarters, London

at the Royal Medical Society's Rooms, Student Centre, 5/5 Bristo Square, Edinburgh 8
on Monday 15th February 1999 at 7pm

New technology is transforming the Post Office: Dr Hine will provide a insider's view of this changing organisation - a view the domestic customer never sees. He will describe some of the new products and services which combine traditional strengths with new electronic ones, and he will answer the question of what will happen to our Post Office after use of the internet and e-mail become commonplace.
