Fourth Meeting of the 180th Session (2000-2001)
In the Wolfson Suite, Ground
Floor
Edinburgh University Library
George Square, Edinburgh
On Monday 12 February 2001, at 7 pm
Wasting time. Wasting resources. Wasting energy. Why is Scotland so far behind the rest of the U.K. and Europe?
Why do we still recycle only just over 5% of our waste? Why are we nowhere near the 20% target for recycled household waste that we were supposed to have achieved last year?
How are we going to find a way forward from this shameful position as the worst performer in Europe? Why would a waste- to-energy policy, building incinerators across Scotland, be the worst possible answer?
Members of the Public are welcome to attend
