Royal Charter

The Society's Royal Charter, dating back to 1841, is held on deposit at the National Library of Scotland and they have kindly sent us these photographs.

For 180 years the charter was folded in four and kept in a tightly fitting metal tin. NLS have conserved the document and carefully opened it out which has allowed them to take this series of photographs.
